MISC•aLAIR•é•Omm… Experiments
We're constantly working on new projects, which we call experiments here at the Miscalaireomm.
This page provides you an overview of our active experiments, as well as experiments we've closed out. There's about a decade worth of experiments here, so lots to choose from.
Active Experiments
The Northwest Detroit Mutual Aid Station is a free, self-serve shed in the Grandmont-Rosedale neighborhood of Detroit · part free store, part little free pantry, part little free library. Neighbors take what they need & leave what they can, no questions asked.
Detroit Philosophy Salon is a monthly, volunteer-led discussion group similar to a Socrates Cafe or Practical Philosophy meetup, with a bit more structure and a lean toward existential questions. It started in 2026 as a Miscalaireomm experiment after a post on r/Detroit.
Detroit Queer Garden Network is a decentralized, low-hierarchy collective of gardening "camps" across Metro Detroit, organized through peer-to-peer coordination rather than formal leadership.
